Day 150 ~ whoo hooo!

New Summer swimwear wardrobe! ZEBRA! I must say, stepping a bit out of my comfort zone with the zebra, but it was the "in" thing at Kohls.. so, I'm thankful! Zebra shorts, zebra swim suit, white shirt (can't go wrong with a plan white t for the summer), with a cute white lace beach cover up, and a cute black cover up for night swims c ; = Happy girl!Congrats to us still doing project 365 uploading daily and posting daily! We did it! Whoo hoo! I had to go on a shopping trip and give myself a little gift! c ; 200 more days left to go! I'm not about to stop now!!!

149/365! ~Happy Hot Memorial Day Everyone!

Happy Hot Memorial day everyone! It was a stinking hot one, 101 when we left the house to start our festivities with my parents!!! Thing was I sweat more last night, and the sun was down! Scorcher!

The best thing about yesterday's festivities was that we got to meet my BFF since first grades new baby, Bella. Mom is now a "grandma" c ;

Sitting outside this morning reading my daily devotional, I noticed the morning dew on the Dog Ears out front. And how vibrant the pink has gotten. When we moved in, we planed some in the flower beds, and they sure have gotten large and beautiful!!

Dolly Parton Bridges

Coming home from a successful road trip. We didn't get rained on, we didn't get stuck in a wreck or in traffic, Mitzi was saying we for sure had angels watching over us! We saw wrecks when we were north bound in the south bound lane and when we were south bound in the north bound lane. But Mitzi wanted a picture of the "dolly parton bridges" for her scrap book, so I figured I'd make this my pic of the day!!

New ideas....

When Bert and I went and got the scrabble set, the idea was to do something sort of like this, and hang it on the wall, in our living room. But I'm not sure if I like this one in BNW or the color. And I'm not so sure about how it's laid out. This one idea will have to take some more thought!!!

No places like home~

Taken yesterday when I was looking outside to see what spare items were in the yard lying around. It was a really bad storm! Places in Mobile had hail. We didn't even get rain. It looked like the beginning of a tornado possibly to me any ways jeff hamilton or schillengers rd looking out my back door.

Day 141/366!

Sock trail!!! ~Melody's worst habbit!

Anytime Bert and I leave for longer than an hour,
this is what we come home to, a sock trail!

Melody gets board and kid naps all of my socks from my closet and brings them out and plays.
I think she had some help tonight!!

It's not just a sauce, it's a way of life~

Bert and I made a food run to taco bell , realized I hadn't taken my picture of the day yet, then there it was BOO-YAH, in my face ! I love little sayings like these on wrappers. Best ones tho are the sayings on the chocolate wrappers~~these Taco Bell ones are just more fun!

~I even pulled out my rebel tonight for this close up, and used the little pesky on camera flash. Sorry for the shinny flash on the wrappers LOL. Batteries are charging on the external flash for a senior cap and gown photo shoot in the morning!!

Wish I had a John Deer sometimes....

Mowing the grass will be successful in two hours! Apparently, the lawnmower wasn't as charged as I was this morning! I've already done two loads of laundry folded and hung up, and did dishes and put the dishes up. I've already vacuumed. . . just sitting here waiting on the battery to charge!! (The black wire clamp gave me the hardest issue, and I thought mowing the grass was going to be a project fail. ) Thanks with some help from my neighbor, we got it worked out! Now I just have to sit and wait to mow the grass!!! Twiddles thumbs! (since my picture of the day is already taken too! DANG! Why can't I wake up every morning with this same amount of energy!!!?)

So, after borrowing a neighbors push mower, I cut the front yard, and when Bert got home he started our riding mower, and I did the back yard until I couldn't see to cut grass anymore! All my chores are done! WHEW!

My heart belongs in Paris

I managed to find my Eiffel tower necklace while I was cleaning today!!! I'm so happy!! I can't wait to go back to Paris and one day I will! I think a little of Paris came home with me and my heart and vise versa! What's not to love about Paris~ ♥

Beautiful Blooms!!

Someone told me they wanted to see a collage of flowers!!! So, yesterday, when I saw the blooms on the flowers outside, I decided to do so!!!! I love the character in the first one on the left! So pretty!!

Pay attention to GOD. You don't want to take your eyes off of Him for one second, because you will miss that beautiful bloom... that Devil's a disguise. ~ unknown!!

My Mothers Day Treat!!!

Bert and I went to the Hard Rock Monday. My day was pretty successful. It was my Mothers Day Treat!!! Thank you honey! I love you! & I came home with money in my pocket, and a new shirt!! I love this shirt!!! ♥

Happy Mothers Day!!

Mom you are my world my rock and the one that taught me how to live my life right and let me go to rock and roll concerts even when you didn't want me to go ... i love you more and more every day i wouldn't know what id do with out u! It made my day when you noticed the peace signs and said, awww, it's got your peace signs on it and guitar stuff!! Thanks for letting me go to those concerts because, I met my husband at one! ♥ For that I am thankful! ♥ Happy Mother's Day to THE most hard working, caring, unselfish, loving, generous, compassionate and fabulous mother in the world. I thank God daily for you!! (only my mother would know she would get a story book on FB for mothers day!! )

Day 133 reading time!

Tonight I took an hour out of my cleaning and chores and things to do around the house, and just sat and started reading my book from the book fair, High Heels in High Places. Kinda reminds me of Joyce Meyers Eat the Cookie Buy the shoes, but I laughed so hard on just about every page in this book that I have read so far. I love how she relates our older days to having "Barbie" flashbacks. Buy it. Both of those books I mentioned are worth the read. But both authors have different hidden meanings. I love it! (did I mention, I'm having a sugar rush... I pigged out on some runts... one of my favorite candies!!)

Rainbow bright!

Everywhere I looked in the sky tonight I saw rainbows!! If it wasn't just the way the colors looked in the sunset, I actually saw a rainbow when I turned around, a double rainbow at that!!! So, had to make it my daily pic for today!!!

Day 131

This is the bear that the boys from the Blessing of the fleet gave me since I gave them two hand fulls of mard gras beads!!! Finally remembered to take a pic of it!! See how cute!!! (I needed a last minute photo today!!! and saw the bear sitting there on my coffee table still from Sunday. )

I must say, I have enjoyed this year's personal challenge for me to try and use all three camera's. This is a cell phone photo!!

Long two days...

Itty says, Momma, it's time for bed... you comin? Put that camera down woman it's snuggle time! Can't you see?
I took her to the vet yesterday, we got good news!! The news we had prayed for! She is a healthy kitty and the
doc has seen kitty's with her condition that are in worse shape. HE told her she needed to go on a diet as she
weights 11.2 lbs and I have to wet her hard food at night, as she is a hoarder! She eats all the cat food in the
house!!! Half the reason I had to take her to the vet!!! Poor thing! Now she has clean sheets and loves it!!!!

As I was saying about those long two days, Bert and I had a much needed relaxing evening of pure ZEN... lit some candles and enjoyed couch movie night!!

Learning new settings and having fun! That's what this project is all about!

Bert and I went outside to test my camera for lightening photos! We kinda got side tracked and started writing each other little messages!!! This is what he wrote me c - ; awwww!!!

Sunday May 6th!! Blessing of the fleet in the bayou!

I can't wait to share the rest of the photos from the Blessing of the Fleet in the Bayou!!! IT was a beautiful day, hot, beautiful nonetheless. I took a walk in the church in the bayou, and snapped photos of the stained glass windows, and all the details inside the church. First built in 1908, and destroyed by several hurricanes, but rebuilt! It took a total loss after hurricane Katrina. But still stands in the same spot, and still as spectacular today!!!!

As far as the Blessing of the Fleet, I learned so much about our own Bayou, I feel bad, I've lived in the bayou 7 years and have never gone to a Blessing of the Fleet. But I really enjoyed it! And the sun I got! I almost had a heat stroke! It was a whopping 82 degrees with a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm, so the humidity was high. But Bert and I both enjoyed ourselves. All in all, I had a great learning experience and can't wait to post the rest of the photos!!Also, while at the blessing of the fleet today, I caught two hand fulls of mardi gras beads... saw two boys with a pretty pink heart teddy bear , gave them the beads. The Dad must have told them to give me the bear for the beads, five seconds later the boys come running up to me and hand me the bear! I saw their Dad was taking photos of it, so I blew them a kiss!! The boys were too cute!!! They walked away all bashful! c - ; I think I'll take a photo of the heart bear for my picture tomorrow Monday May 7th! It's sooo cute!!!

Day 126!!! Selfie...

To my disappointment, we went Super Moon Hunting, and only found cloud cover. By the looks of everyone's moon photos, I needed to head east instead of west to Dauphin Island :( at least I got some moon photos Friday night!! But I still had a great time and kept a smile on my face, even though I was very mad at the cloud cover and evening thunderstorm that caused some of us not to be able to see the Super Moon!!!!

125!!!! SUPER MOON... almost...

Calendars say May 6, by the way, for this same close full moon as seen from Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. We astronomers call this sort of close full moon a perigee full moon. The word perigee describes the moon’s closest point to Earth for a given month. But last year, when the closest and largest full moon occurred on March 19, 2011, many used a term we’d never heard: supermoon. We’ll probably hear that term again at this 2012 close full moon.

so, since tomorrow is supposed to be something that special... I got out my camera and experimented tonight with what settings I needed to have my camera on!! These are a few shots I got tonight!!!

Day 124 me at a megadeath concert? Yup.

If you had told me five years ago, I'd be at a Mega Death concert tonight... I would have laughed at you. Heavy metal music isn't my scene, but what I did enjoy most was watching the musicians. That shouldn't be a surprise to any of you. The drummer was awesome! He had two sets of drums. I was fascinated by it. To top it off there were more than 12 Marshal amps and amp heads. The light show was amazing as well! Half way through the concert I sent my Dad a text, told him, I remembered more of their songs than I thought I would. My Dad said, I bed you do, you have always been good with music and knowing who sings what and what artist is what. Made me smile. I even told him, yeah I know the songs, but I'd rather see myself at a Motley Crue Concert!! That's next on my list!!! c ; waiting patiently for the Hard Rock to book them!!!

almost to day 125!

I made it....woohooo, almost to day 125 !!!

One hundred and twenty five photos (almost!), one taken every single day....although I have hundreds more that didn't get posted, probably thousands that didn't make it onto the pages of blogger....what an achievement I feel I have made. Believe me there have been days of sheers enjoyment and tears of sorrow when the brick wall hit and I didn't think that I would make it and produce a picture but I am so glad that I have made it.... to yet another goal set !! Time to set another goal, to day 175!! I can do this, although at the beginning of the year upon thinking about doing this again, I would have laughed at you and said there is no way I will be able to do this again! But, thank you all for still joining in for keeping me going!

I have learned so many new things already in this 2012 journey of project 365! I decided to start this project again for two reasons 1. To make sure that I take more photographs with my new camera and old canon and cell phone. 2. to make me take time out of every day for myself, to do something I enjoy as last year I did enjoy taking just 65 photos, but this year I wanted to go even further like I did in 2010.

I really want to thank my husband himself who has listened to me day in day out, helped with the lows, offered suggestions and many words of encouragement to help me get here to almost day 125! He always says you have made it this far, there is no backing out now. You made it in 2010, you can do it again this year for 2012 ! He has even been a big supporter in my sock monkey adventures!! I know I haven't taken many photos of Mr and Mrs socks, but there will be more! TRUST ME!

Hello May!! Day 122 and 123!

Today's photo (May 2nd) is the exact opposite from yesterday (May 1st). The storm photo is as is, no editing other than the sharpening tool. It's not a black and white photo, it's the way the weather is today! Gotta love Mother Nature! I know I love a good storm, time to curl up and read a good book! Oh we also went to the store (in this mess of weather), our fridge is stocked with drinks!! Feels like it should be on MTV cribs or something !! c ;

Bert and I spent most of the morning yesterday trying to figure out where we were going to take the bike. We took a beautiful ride to Dauphin Island. We ate lunch at Bienville Bar and Grill! It was delish! But we always stop here on the way, and on the way back for a break!!! — at Bay View Front Park Dauphin Island. This photo was taken with my cell phone (not too shabby!)
