Of course, there is a story about Ms. Socks. There was a story about Ms. Socks before I even got her. I had gotten my husband to graciously agree to go today and buy a sock monkey to help me get creative with project 365. That took about an hour of saying the why's behind the sock monkey photos. Then finally I hear my husband say, go call Target and see if they have this "sock monkey of yours..." Calling Target, I asked the operator on the phone if they had any sock monkey's in stock. Then followed by, I know this is a random question. She happily replied, no dear, that's not a random question. I sat there wondering, well if asking for a Sock Monkey is in stock isn't a random question, then what is! LOL.
As you can see, yes Target had my sock monkey's in stock. All on the way home, this is what my husband kept saying, "You know this would be cool if you did this with the sock monkey for this day..." To hear him get excited about me getting a sock monkey for my 366 project just blew my mind. He was coming up with some really creative ideas! It takes a lot for my husband to get excited about my 365 photo project, because when I completed it in 2010, it took a lot of "he and I" time away, responding to other bloggers, thinking of my daily photo idea, finding the right quote or story behind the subject, it was like I had been having a love affair with daily 365.
When I got home and took my sock monkey out of the box she came in, I decided to name her, "Ms. Socks..." for lack of better ideas. So, if you can think of any names, for her, other than Ms. Socks, please feel free and share them with me! I grabbed my camera, and took advantage of the beautiful day! I took Ms. Socks out and she wanted to do some typical "Monkey" things! At first I found her in the tree dangling, then when she fell down, from the tree I got a brilliant idea to write "1 down 365" to go on her! c=
Let me go back to what I was saying yesterday, "By me not doing the usual normal activities..." this is so not the normal for me to want to have a 365 helper object. To me that's so flickr! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE LOVE LOVE FLICKR. But, taking a photo of the same subject every day well, that never entered my mind. I don't want to disappoint any of you, but I won't be using my sock monkey every day. Ms. Socks will come out when she feels like monkeying around!
